Salumatics Inc, an EDMS Mississauga company, is proud to announce that our team will be taking part in the Enbridge® Ride to Conquer Cancer®, a unique, two-day cycling event.
The cycling event is set to take place from June 8 to 9, 2019. The EDMS Mississauga team will be journeying over 200 kilometres through Ontario in a bold endeavour to end cancer.
As one of the largest peer-to-peer fundraiser, the event has raised more than $420 million since its inception in 2008. This year, our EDMS Mississauga team will be joining over 10,000 riders as we contribute thousands to the fundraiser through Salumatics’ We-Cycle program.
Our new We-Cycle program provides more cost-effective and secure document shredding options for local businesses. We subsidize the cost of secure document destruction because we are passionate about helping the environment and our local community. In turn, we raise money for charities in the health field including the Health and Stroke Foundation. The money is also used to encourage those around us and our team to actively participate in cycling activities that help local charities.
Our EDMS Mississauga team will bring passion and perseverance in our efforts to help achieve a cancer-free future through this special event.
The money raised for the Enbridge® Ride to Conquer Cancer® will benefit Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, one of the top five cancer research centres in the world. Funds raised support the development of personalized cancer medicine, including research, treatment advances, education and new standards of care at the world-renowned scientific research centre as well as across Ontario and around the world.
