Salumatics provides a wide range of health information management services to clients involved in healthcare across North America. As an organization that deals with/has access to confidential health information on a daily basis, we are very conscious of our continued responsibility to respect personal privacy, safeguard confidentiality of health records/health data and implement appropriate security measures. Salumatics has developed a comprehensive Information Protection Program that:
- protects the privacy of personal health information while in the possession of Salumatics
- minimizes the risk of unauthorized access, use or disclosure of personal health information
- articulates staff obligations with respect to information protection and outline consequences of security breaches
- creates a security conscious organizational culture
- describes Salumatics' commitment to ensuring the privacy, confidentiality and security of client records or data in its procession
- reinforces our openness to public review
The Privacy Code is one component of the Salumatics Information Protection Program. It outlines corporate initiatives and individual responsibilities with respect to protecting personal health information. The Code underscores the fundamental principle of information protection that each of us has a responsibility to protect personal health information. All Salumatics employees are bound by this Privacy Code and sign a Corporate Privacy Pledge as a condition of their employment with Salumatics. |
