Salumatics operates a Tier II data centre offering clients data hosting, backup & recovery, business continuity, and SaaS model services including SaluVision®, our electronic data management (EDMS) application. Located at corporate headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario, the Salumatics data centre provides multiple concurrent client users with secure and instant access to their data. Secured VPNs are maintained between Salumatics’ data centres, our clients’ data centres and our remote coding specialists.

The Salumatics data centre is constructed to, and in many areas exceeds, TIA-942 standards including required physical features, environmental control, power management, video surveillance, secured zoning, and network connectivity. Connectivity is managed through dual diversified fibre paths to the data centre, and diversified paths to the internet service provider (ISP) NOC. In addition, hot failover goes to redundant fibre in the event of a primary failure provided by the ISP.

Salumatics data centre provides SLA uptime guarantees of 99.95% for all hosted systems. 

In addition, Salumatics operates two fully redundant conversion facilities within Canada for document conversion, storage and services. The facilities are linked via a dedicated and secure fibre optic connection and contain fully replicated backups of the other’s data for business continuity purposes. Each facility is fully redundant and has the ability to take over the other’s conversion operations should it be required. Combined, the facilities have capacity to convert more than 10 million documents per month.

Ensure Business Continuity

As an incremental back up service for conversion clients, Salumatics retains a copy of all of the conversion data for a period of up to 90 days from date of conversion.  When the agreed retention period is over, the retained data is either destroyed or returned to the client as directed. 

Salumatics’ flagship software solution SaluVision® is available for use as an extended emergency access solution. Using the SaluVision integration engine, mission critical data from client systems is collected and replicated into SaluVision at Salumatics’ secured data centre. Clients can then gain instant access to their mission critical data anytime and anywhere through a dedicated web portal in the event of a primary systems failure.
