FORMS MANAGEMENT
Through Salumatics' extensive experience with the implementation of Electronic Health Record Systems and through our vast document conversion experience from paper to electronic, we understand the requirements and value of forms design, electronic forms, and bar coding. As part of the evolution of patient information, hospitals need to evolve their clinical and business forms.
The Forms Redesign process is a critical component in the successful transition to a document imaging system and improvement to the current business processes in the Medical Records/HIM Department. Forms redesign will expedite the scanning and indexing process. The following considerations should be used as a general guideline as the client redesigns their paper forms.
Salumatics can redesign current document types to as many document bar coded form types as required by all current forms that must be in electronic form.
For example, Salumatics recommends indexing the historical documents to the following Primary Document Set (Main groupings from Chart Order Listing).
