The Back File conversion of hospital patient records present unique challenges that require both expertise and extensive experience in managing patient information. For example:

  • Ensuring complete and quick access to patient information. Salumatics understands this critical component and provides comprehensive retrieval services during the conversion process to ensure patient care is not compromised.

  • Ensuring accurate and consistent indexing of the numerous hospital forms. Typical patient charts can contain anywhere from 400 to over 800 different types of forms that conversion operators must accurately identify – consistently – to a pre-determined document type set. Training, documentation, and quality validation are essential. Salumatics not only thoroughly understands health records, but also can play an important role in assisting a hospital in designing the most effective indexing structure.

  • Ensuring that disruption to current processes is minimized within health records during the conversion transition. Salumatics provides expertise and experience in the packing, shipment, and thorough tracking of records. Getting the charts converted in a timely manner minimizes the time required by a hospital to utilize a dual system of paper and electronic.
